BOY SCOUTS The Boy Scouts of America has contributed greatly to the character training of our youth. What a greater nation this would be if the principles of Scouting could be woven more closely into our daily lives. - Harry S. Truman I'm an Eagle Scout, class of 1991. As a boy, I earned badges in many of the areas that make me who I am today - Computers, Aviation, Camping, Engineering, Rifle & Shotgun, First Aid and many more. I participated in international jamborees and attended camps in other nations. I was involved in many opportunities that others don't often have the opportunity to be involved with such as white water rafting, climbing, swimming a mile, assisting with public emergencies, leadership training, and survival skills. Scouting helped me grow morally, mentally, and physically. As an adult I have been active as a Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster, Merit Badge Counselor, and Fundraising Presenter. Being involved as an adult allows me to give back to the organization and youth in the same way people helped me when I was young. It helps me grow more in my moral responsibilities of being a good role model - helping, encouraging, and always doing what is right no matter what.
