\We lost Bear on December 4th, 2004 to kidney disease. That was a tough loss as I had him while I was in college and even
before I met my wife. People would tell her (before we met) that if she
wanted to keep seeing me, she would have to love my dog - we were inseparable.
It didn't take log after Bear left us to live on the top of the hill (the
pet cemetery behind our house!) before I got a new dog from the local
shelter. Fritz, a german sherpard, came to live with us in March 2005 and has
been quite a handful tearing up two couches, four pairs of shoes, remotes,
clothes, and various other household items. However, he's a great pup and
he is learning to behave better. We don't know how old he is, but we are
guessing he was born in the winter 2003 or spring of 2004 . We celebrate his
birthday on February 28th.
