Reverend Eric Curtis

My older brother Mike became an ordained minister after going to seminary for 4 years. I became an ordained minister after a few minutes when I submitted a few forms with the Universal Life Church in 1998. I even received a nice wallet card that certifies me as a minister. (Did you get one, Mike?) :)

The next step was to become certified by the state of Ohio to perform marriages. All that was needed was to send a registration form and my credentials of ministry to the State of Ohio (along with $10). After that, you simply follow the laws set forth by the state and county for doing marriages. Franklin County's laws and information can be viewed here. Delaware County's information will also be available soon I believe.

So what will I do with this ability? Well, does anyone want to get married on a plane and join the mile high club all in the same ceremony? Or does anyone want to get married on an ice skating rink or on a roller coaster or Farris wheel? The possibilities are endless. If this interests you, let me know - this can be arranged. Just use your imagination for an unique ceremony for you and your wonderful bride or groom.

I have performed 6 marriages since 2002 - one in Texas the rest in Ohio. An interesting part of performing the marriages is when some of the "really religious" guests figure out that I am not a traditional minister in the sense they understand.
